House Watch

The House Watch program is designed for residents of the City of Carbondale who are planning vacations or must be away from home for an extended period of time. City of Carbondale Police Officers will check residences in the House Watch program daily, looking for suspicious activity or anything out of the ordinary. It only takes a few minutes to contact the Police Department and ask that your home be included in the program while you are away. The service is free, all you need to do is fill out a request form which can be obtained at the Police Department or downloaded. Completed forms can be delivered to the Police Department in person anytime prior to departure or they may be mailed at least five days prior to leaving town.

Security Surveys

The City of Carbondale Police Department will conduct a security survey of your home or business free of charge. Officers trained as Crime Prevention Technicians will evaluate the overall security of your building and provide suggestions for improving security.
