Residential Burglary Investigation

12-24-13 Web Release – Residential Burglary Investigation

On 12-24-13 at around 12:59 a.m., officers from the City of Carbondale Police Department were in the 500 block of North Michaels Street conducting neighborhood foot patrols. At this time, officers observed two individuals removing property from a residence.  As officers approached, the subjects attempted to flee the area in a vehicle, but were apprehended near the intersection of North Oakland Avenue and West Main Street.  The subjects were identified as Kayman Farlow and Jessica Bird.  Farlow was charged with Residential Burglary, Resisting a Peace Officer, DUI, Driving with a Suspended License, Possession of Paraphernalia and served with two Williamson County warrants.  Bird was charged with Residential Burglary, Resisting a Peace Officer, Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Paraphernalia.  Both were incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
