Missing Person Investigation Reward Update

02-16-14 Missing Person Investigation Reward Update

The City of Carbondale Police Department continues to investigate missing person Pravin Varughese, who was last seen in the 600 block of West College Street at 11:00 p.m. on 02-12-14.  The family is now offering a reward of $15,000 for information leading to the recovery of Varughese.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Carbondale Police Department or Southern Illinois University Department of Public Safety.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be given for information provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at (618) 549-COPS (2677).  Anonymous tips may also be made by selecting the “Crime Stoppers” tab located on the main page of this website.

The City of Carbondale Police Department continues to investigate missing person Pravin Varughese, who was last seen in the 600 block of West College Street at 11:00 p.m. on 02-12-14.  The family is offering a reward of at least $5,000 for information leading to the recovery of Varughese.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Carbondale Police Department or Southern Illinois University Department of Public Safety.

On 02-13-14, the City of Carbondale Police Department responded to a report of a missing person. Officers learned that Pravin M. Varughese was last seen in the 600 block of West College Street at approximately 11:00 pm on 02-12-14.  Varughese is a white male, 5’7, 150 pounds, with short brown hair, brown eyes and a dark complexion.  He was last seen unshaven, wearing the red shirt in the below photo, dark blue jeans and purple shoes.  He has a chest tattoo that reads “Fear God.”  The investigation into the incident is continuing.
