Aggravated Battery Investigation

04-14-14 Web Release- Aggravated Battery Investigation

On 04-13-14, the City of Carbondale Police Department received a report of a battery.  Officers learned that on 04-12-14 at around 12:00 a.m. the victim was walking in the 500 block of South Rawlings Street when he was battered.  The victim returned home and was treated at northern Illinois area hospital for serious injuries. The suspects are described as three black males and one brandished a handgun during the incident.  Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Carbondale Police Department.  The investigation is continuing.
